Sarah Jane Millican (née King; born 29 May 1975) is an English comedian, writer and broadcaster from South Shields, Tyne and Wear. She rose to prominence after winning the Best Newcomer award at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has gone on to tour extensively, present radio and television shows, found the online magazine/podcast Standard Issue, and publish the bestselling autobiography How to Be Champion. Her comedy is observational and often focuses on everyday life, relationships and body image.
