Fred McAllen

Fred McAllen is an American author, retired stockbroker, financial advisor, portfolio manager and individual investor. Born and raised on a farm in rural Oklahoma, he later settled outside Dallas, Texas. After 25 years working in brokerage and investment management he turned to writing to help individual investors understand technical analysis, market trends, and trading strategies. His non-fiction books focus on charting, technical analysis and practical investing; he has also written fiction related to financial crime.
