Gordon Korman is a prolific Canadian-American author of children's and young adult fiction. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, on October 23, 1963. Korman began writing at a young age, completing his first novel in seventh grade, which was published when he was fourteen. He studied film and television production at New York University, earning a B.F.A. in 1985. Korman has written over 100 books, selling over 35 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 32 languages. His works often feature humor, adventure, and relatable characters, appealing to middle-grade and young adult readers. He has contributed to multi-author series, including The 39 Clues. Korman's books have appeared at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list. He lives with his family on Long Island, New York.
