Michelle West is the pen name of Canadian fantasy author Michelle Michiko Sagara (also published as Michelle Sagara West). She is best known for her interconnected Essalieyan-universe series, including The Sacred Hunt, The Sun Sword, and The House War. A long-time Torontonian bookseller and columnist, she has published numerous novels and short stories since the early 1990s and has been nominated for the John W. Campbell Award.
