J. Rutland (Jarrett Rutland) writes and illustrates picture books and graphic novels. He began creating illustrated stories as a child and studied sequential storytelling in college. His published work includes Chilly da Vinci and I Love You No Matter What; he has also illustrated Alligator Wedding by Nancy Jewell. He lives with his family in Asheville, North Carolina.
