Michael A. Stackpole

Michael Austin Stackpole (born November 27, 1957) is an American science fiction and fantasy author and game designer best known for his tie-in novels for the Star Wars and BattleTech universes (including the X-Wing/Rogue Squadron books and I, Jedi), as well as original series such as the DragonCrown War Cycle and the Age of Discovery. He began publishing in the late 1970s, worked in role-playing and computer game design, and has been active as a novelist, podcaster, and writing teacher. He lives in Arizona.
