Annabel Lyon

Annabel Lyon (born 1971) is a Canadian novelist and short-story writer. She is the author of fiction for adults and children, including the internationally bestselling The Golden Mean and its sequel The Sweet Girl, and the novel Consent (2020). Her work has been shortlisted for major Canadian prizes (Scotiabank Giller Prize, Governor General's Award) and she won the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize for The Golden Mean. Lyon studied philosophy (BA, Simon Fraser University) and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia; she teaches creative writing and lives in British Columbia.
