Heather Morris (born 1953) is a New Zealand–born author resident in Australia, best known for her bestselling historical novel The Tattooist of Auschwitz (2018) and its related works. A former hospital office manager, she met Holocaust survivor Lale Sokolov in 2003 and later adapted his story into her debut novel. Her books focus on stories of survival, resilience and hope and have sold millions of copies worldwide.
