Catherine Newman
Catherine Newman is an American author of fiction, memoir and books for children. Her work includes the memoirs Waiting for Birdy and Catastrophic Happiness; the novels We All Want Impossible Things and Sandwich; the middle-grade novel One Mixed-Up Night; and bestselling kids’ life-skills books How to Be a Person and What Can I Say?. She has written for the New York Times, O, Real Simple and other publications, has worked in hospice care, and lives in Amherst, Massachusetts.
