David Edward Walliams (born David Williams) is an English comedian, actor, television personality and bestselling author of children's books. He first gained prominence through the sketch comedy Little Britain (with Matt Lucas) and later became a prolific children's novelist, known for titles such as The Boy in the Dress, Mr Stink, Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy. He has sold tens of millions of books worldwide, been awarded an OBE for services to charity and the arts, and has been involved in television roles and high-profile charity swims for Sport Relief.
