Jessica Soffer

Jessica Soffer is an American novelist and essayist. She is the author of This Is a Love Story (Dutton, 2025), an instant New York Times bestseller and Read With Jenna pick, and Tomorrow There Will Be Apricots. Her writing has appeared in Granta, The New York Times, Real Simple, Saveur, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, and on NPR’s Selected Shorts. She grew up in New York City, earned a BA from Connecticut College and an MFA from Hunter College, and teaches creative writing while living in Sag Harbor, New York with her family.
