Robert Winston
Robert Maurice Lipson Winston, Baron Winston (born 15 July 1940) is a British medical doctor, scientist, and broadcaster. He is Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies and Professor of Science and Society at Imperial College London, a life peer in the House of Lords, and a prominent communicator of science to the public through books and television. His research contributed to advances in IVF and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis; he has authored a number of popular science and children's science books, including Ask a Scientist.
